What kinds of dresses are? It can take a lot of time to classify such a part of women's wardrobe as a dress. The most commonplace example of such a grouping is the length of the dress. Actually, this feature combines mini, midi and maxi dresses. Judging by the fabrics used for sewing the dress, we can distinguish the autumn-winter and spring-summer models. The first ones, of course, are represented by warm materials (wool). The second group, as a rule, is sewn from light and aerial fabrics (cotton, silk, flax, etc.).
However, it is most advisable to classify this type of clothing according to two other characteristics depending on the purpose and style. The first group includes such types of dresses like casual, party and cocktail. The second category is more extensive. It combines the different styles of each of the three types.
As for casual dresses, this group is represented by outfits designed for everyday wear. These include dresses for walking, official meetings, work, and leisure. In other words, these dresses are worn daily. They are filled with everyday life. A distinctive feature of this type of women's outfits is practicality. When sewing, certain fabrics are used, that are most comfortably felt on the skin and they do not create a feeling of stiffness (wool, flax, viscose, cotton). This could include various types of summer dresses, ranging from short sundresses and ending with the floor-length gown. As for casual outfits for the autumn-winter period, the most preferred option, according to the designers, is the midi-length model.
Dresses for daily wear, as a rule, have a free cut, which does not hinder movements. The variety of everyday dresses is so great that for the modern woman there is no problem with the lack of fashionable clothes. Each girl has the opportunity to choose the model of the desired cut, tone and style in accordance with her taste.
As for cocktail dresses, they will fit great, when a woman is going to attend a noisy party or spend the evening with her soulmate in a restaurant. Then everyday wardrobe will not be enough. Something elegant, but not too extravagant is needed. For such a case, there are various types of cocktail dresses. Here the choice is as wide as in the case of everyday clothes. Still, there are some restrictions. Cocktail dresses, as a rule, are short or midi-lengths. All of them are elegant and sophisticated. They add charm to their owners. Cocktail dresses can be snug either with ruffles, one-color or with color prints.
Party dresses are worn at celebrations, as well as at official events and events of high society. The simplest example of such an event is graduation. Also, the category of evening dresses includes wedding dresses. As a rule, such dresses are multi-layered and have a full skirt. For tight-fitting models, designers sometimes add a vertical cut-away.
